Pacific Gynecology Specialists is an elite, experienced subspecialty group dedicated and equipped to offer complete gynecologic oncology and complex benign gynecology services to patients in the Pacific Northwest. Pacific Gynecology Specilists physicians see patients at four clinic sites in the Seattle area. In addition to the main office in downtown Seattle, other clinic sites include Valley Breast Center in Renton, Highline Cancer Center in Burien, and Swedish Physicians in Issaquah.
Surgical Procedures
Surgical procedures are performed at Swedish Medical Center, Virgina Mason Medical Center, Valley Medical Center, Highline Medical Center, Northwest Hospital, Overlake Hospital, Evergreen Hospital, and Group Health. In addition, PGS has an outpatient surgical suite in the Seattle office that allows patients to have simple outpatient procedures performed under anesthesia in a quieter office setting. The Seattle office also has a fully equipped lab and a state of the art ultrasound machine.
Chemotherapy Suite
For patients with gynecologic malignancies who require chemotherapy, PGS has an infusion suite staffed by two oncology nurses to provide chemotherapy to patients in the Seattle office. The providers also are affiliated with the Swedish Cancer Institute (SCI) and patients can receive chemotherapy at the SCI infusion center under the direction of a PGS provider or a medical oncologist affiliated with SCI. SCI also has an excellent radiation oncology division which works closely with the PGS physicians to offer radiation treatment when necessary. In addition, the providers work closely with medical and radiation oncologists in the surrounding area, allowing patients to receive chemotherapy or radiation therapy closer to their home.
Research
Finally, the providers at PGS actively participate in and offer patients enrollment in research studies from the Gynecology Oncology Group, Puget Sound Oncology Consortium, the POCRC SPORE program at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and investigator/industry initiated trials.
